- Transmission Skid Plate protects your transmission and steering rack while filling the gap between our Front Skid Plate and our Transfer Case Skid Plate. This skid plate is made from laser-cut 3/16" thick steel that is CNC folded for consistent quality and fit. Then it's finished in an environmentally-friendly, and durable, black powder coating. Mounted solidly to the truck's frame, installation does NOT require any drilling. All hardware and instructions are included. This Transmission Skid Plate is designed to fit vehicles with a crossmember spacing of about 23".
